Here are images from my projects. The brown still is from my video. The black still is a model I want to have printed over the summer. I'll try to upload the video as soon as I figure out how.See More
Due to technical issues my laptop did not record the audio during critique. In retrospect I should have probably played a pre-recorded performance to really get across the sound I was hoping for. The momentum really didn't build like I wanted and having the lights on did end up hurting the piece. Here is a link to one of my attempts at creating the piece prior to critique. I am happier with the results of this recording.Download MP3See More
I've been jumping around with my idea for the final quite a bit. At first I wanted to scan in my Canon camera and make a pin hole 3d print out, but the scanner and costs proved to be too much. But then similar points could be brought up for a lot of ceramicists, even those who shape the clay themselves. I don't know…See More
I'm not sure what part of the discussion I want to address. It was all pretty interesting. I guess I will comment on the topic of the artist's hand being seen in the work. That is one that I deal with lately in my work. I am a painting major, but a lot of my work is mixed media. One body of work revolves around "painterly" images that I take with my camera and print on canvas. I asked my professor bout the authenticity of printing my images vs painting them. The argument was that since the…See More
